In 2023, the rain stopped me from playing on the Maxa deer - not this year, and to make it even more special, my set was during Man burn. If you have been to the man burn, you know that this is a very special moment. Every art car gathers around the man to see it burn down. It’s an emotional time, the energy is intense, even dark. The man is the central reference of the playa, and once down, chaos surrounds the flames. When I climbed into the deer, I saw the Maxa family emotional, hugging, celebrating the end of a long week with each other. I was excited, this was a moment I was looking forward to. Once on top of the car, surrounded by the crew, I decided to play an emotional set, more of a soundtrack to the moment than a dance party.
