Tummetott - Maxa - Burning Man 2025

Playing on the Maxa art car was truly special to me. Not for some life-changing moment. No rebirth, no spiritual awakening at sunrise or mythical transformation in the dust. It was about a brilliant crew from Mexico who built a giant deer that rolls through the desert, vibrating violently with every kick drum, wrapped in absurdly well-controlled LEDs, firing flames, and carrying a huge, great sound system that unites people and makes them dance. A surreal piece of art crossing the playa that simply fascinates me. Standing there, surrounded by friends, looking out at a massive crowd genuinely dancing to my music, made me very happy. Sandwiched between Gavlak and Jonathan Kaspar, two artists I deeply respect, it simply made sense. Thank you for this night.
