This one! Transglobally good groove of Gritty and gossamer, delicate and driving, spaciously dense and playfully serious Afroblessed, Latin scorched, Heart-Opening, Booty-Shaking levity. Here's a mix of deep, pulsing and vibrant global magic. A late night house music journey on the playa that extracts itself from an incredibly tumultuous burn: The heat, the wind, the destruction, the dust...then rain. The elements in all their adversity did little to restrain an incredible dancefloor at Sound Garden where I dropped MY most inspired set since attending my first burn 30 years ago. While massive thanks to the dancefloor for its constant inspiration that night, an even bigger thanks goes out to my friend Mark Duncan, the inimitable and indefatigable visionary and host who curated and produced yet another extraordinary week at Sound Garden. (On a final note, the closing track (Florian Gasperini - Back Home) is dedicated to our friend John Rider who passed away at the burn, at camp, Weds morning. His happy place. He would not have wanted it any other way)
