Burning Man gave me one of those unforgettable gifts, sometimes the unplanned moments are the ones that stay with you forever. My only planned gig at BM was supposed to be on Monday evening but it took us 7 hours in line to get into the gate so I couldn’t make it on time. The last heavy storm on Tuesday left the roads muddy, the bikes were pretty much useless, and honestly, I wasn’t feeling my best. But sometimes the universe has other plans. After walking across the playa with my dear friend Lost Desert for his set at Sound Garden, as he was about to finish I was asked to step in and ended up playing an unexpected 3-hour journey. As the rain returned, the tent filled up and I did my usual thing. I got pretty emotional after I finished playing, was just so grateful to have been given this opportunity and it reminded me why I’ve always wanted to come here to experience the community, connection, and the beauty of the unexpected. Special thanks to the whole team of the Sound Garden camp, you definetely made my first burn one I’ll cherish forever. Feeling gratefull and blessed, will see you all next year.
