Temple of the Moon | Burning Man 2026 This mix is a special one for me. The Temple has always been one of the most powerful places I’ve experienced at Burning Man. In the middle of all the energy, music, art and beautiful chaos of the playa, there is this extraordinary place where everything seems to become quiet. A place for reflection, remembrance, grief, gratitude and letting go. For 2026, the Temple of the Moon takes its inspiration from the Queen of the Night, a remarkable flower that blooms only at night and wilts by morning. Its beauty exists completely in the moment. It asks nothing except that you be there to witness it. Not being able to make it to the playa this year, I was honoured to be asked to create this mix for the people who built the Temple, and I wanted some of that creation to actually live inside the music. Throughout the set I’ve woven in recordings from the warehouse where the Temple was being constructed: the sounds of tools, machinery, wood and people physically bringing this incredible place into existence. Those sounds eventually become part of something built for an entirely different purpose: to hold our memories, our grief, our love, and ultimately to be released. Nothing is permanent. Be present.
