"As soon as I arrived onto the Playa I found myself running in the blazing heat from the gates, asking frantically for directions to a place I had never been to before, a loud spot in the vast expansive horizon known as Robot Heart. I couldn’t believe I was going to be late! Yes, it’s true, I missed my slot, I arrived 1 hour after, but the magic of this moment really encapsulated and introduced the whole Burning Man experience for me with many new friends trying their best to me to get there on time - it was priceless and unforgettable. Once there, Benjamin said “Frankie, you're late, what happened?” to which I replied “Mate, I’m Italian, I’m actually right on time!” Few people know, 15 hours before arriving, I was stranded in Las Vegas with Julien and Claudia, with no ride to Black Rock City. Claudia said: "let’s try to call Ole and Finn, they have a badass RV, they can give us easily a ride!” The two Norwegian guys were still in Vegas and once they picked us up the “Get Frankie on the Bus” mission started. We played music on the road, shared the dark and the bright sides of spinning records, saw ghost cities, our GPS died, and we watched the dazzling stars in the beautiful night sky of the desert. I can say it out loud, what an unbelievable adventure and what an unbelievable beginning. Here I am after that wild road trip, playing tracks I've been carrying since I started playing over a decade ago, finally landing where I was supposed to be, always looking for the next adventure. Thanks to all the people who danced that morning, thanks to Robot Heart, thanks to my wife Alessandra and my family, thanks to the badass RV, thanks to Nico and Timur for helping to make it happen, thanks to David and Anna for their support, and of course, a big thank you to everyone I met on the Playa."
