It was an honor to have the opportunity to play on the 747 at Burning Man this year. We vividly remember biking up to the plane and being washed over by a feeling of awe at what stood before us. The sight of the 747 inspired that feeling of butterflies, a mix of tenseness and excitement, something we thought we had overcome. The setup was spectacular. Here on the Playa was this massive portion of a jumbo jet surrounded by large swaths of LEDs carrying sweeping moods of color that transferred the vibe to the crowd. The quality of the sound system was airtight, it rattled your bones with the bass while still allowing for conversation. The cockpit area of the cabin provided a dance floor with multiple levels, partygoers could easily change their environment from one level to the next. Several catwalks sported exuberant dancers that kept the crowd engaged. Surroundings aside, the party was absolutely going OFF. People were having a blast and the vibe was locked on the dance floor, allowing us to play some of our most hard-hitting tracks. We're always giddy when this opportunity arises and we definitely took full advantage. This mix is the most energetic set we've ever released- understandably so based on the amazing night we experienced. We hope you enjoy listening and reliving the moment it captures.
