Mirrored Bits is the reflection of my journey at this year’s burn. Friday morning I logged the emotions I experienced each day on the playa and crafted a narrative of songs which inspire those feelings. This set to me is the joy of coming home, the awe of an alternate reality, the mourning of a lost friend, the hope of a brighter future, the celebration of friendship, the melancholy of a sunsetting romance, the warmth of community, the inspiration to create art. Friday night I was honored to share my story from behind the decks of the Airpusher art car - parked at the camp I helped build - to an engaged crowd of hundreds of friends and strangers. I re-lived my experiences as I performed the set, deeply feeling each emotion from darkness to light.
