How hard is it to find a jumbo jet in the middle of the desert? Apparently, very hard indeed. It literally took us an hour of bicycling around deep playa until we spied a colour changing LED in the distance. Having investigated all the illumination in close proximity, we set out until it resolved into the most beautiful fuselage we have ever seen. The long journey had come to an end and after locking our bikes we ascended the jetway mere minutes before our set was scheduled to begin. A quick soundcheck later, the laser show died down and we played our first track. Perched high atop the plane we could see individual dancers moving about like ants far below us, and the upper deck filled with friends new and old. In the middle of our set a swarm of drones took to the skies behind us for a light spectacle that we missed completely, no one told us there were beautiful machines swooping through the air behind us, and we kept our eyes on the equipment and the dance floor far below us. Still, it was an absolute pleasure to play on the latest iteration of the plane, and we are always impressed by the sheer scale of this aviation achievement.
