No official burn happened this year, yet we came together in the truest spirit and created our own experience. New friends and old, we created a weekend together in a house nestled next to the beauty of Zion national park. We made something totally unique and magical - a reflection of all of us who shared our time an energy with each other. We didn’t need that specific spot in the Black Rock Desert to be great. This set was recorded during our “Berlin Banger” theme night. Straddling the borders of techno, tech house, and progressive, this set was a journey through whips and chains and leather and grunge. We partied until the sun was a faded memory in our own special version of Berlin. The last 6 minutes of the set is something I added in post production as a tribute to the weekend. Someone captured audio of our friend Meira’s beautiful impromptu recitation of “A Burner’s Prayer” during our own man burn ceremony, which I used to create a track to memorialize the moment.
